Tinubu’s daughter is new Iyaloja general

As controversy rages over who succeeds Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, the late mother of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, among market men and women as President-General of the Association of Nigerian Market Women, her granddaughter, Mrs. Folashade Tinubu Ojo has been installed as the new Iyaloja General.

At a well attended event presided over by Oba of Lagos Rilwan Akiolu, who was represented by his White Cap Chiefs inside late Abibatu Mogaji’s house, Folashade was formally installed as the new President-General of the Association of Nigerian Market Women and Men.

In her response to the title bestowed on her, the young lady said she is capable to manage the affairs of market women and men in the state and beyond having studied management and have previous experience as the boss of Lagos Marketing Board for some years.

“Managing the elderly women older than me will not be problem because I have been working close with Mama Mogaji for several years and I have picked one or two leadership qualities from her.  I strongly believe God will give me the necessary wisdom and the grace to discharge my duty accordingly,” she said.
She said her vision is to create the enabling environment for market men and women to operate without being molested.
