Camilla Mberekpe confesses

In another controversial episode at TB Joshua’s church in Lagos, popular Nollywood actress Camilla Mberekpe has confessed that she is a witch.
This was aired live on Synagogue Church of All Nations on Sunday the 28th of April 2013.
Coincidentally, the talented actress is popular for acting as a witch in Nollywood movies.
Nollywood is definitely becoming something else. From frequent husband-snatching to Jujuwood and now witchcraft confession, our stars definitely need deliverance.
I guess their movie roles have impacted some of them negatively.
Though the video of her alleged witchcraft confession has not been made available.
We’ll await this before any further comment.

Nigerian Actor Solomon Akiyesi Breaks Silence

The ‘confused’ actor allegedly married three different women within the span of 4 years or so.
His jealous second wife Lilian stormed his wedding with some hoodlums on the aforementioned date to disrupt the wedding service.

Solomon Akiyesi who has kept silent for a while has broken his silence, in this recent chat with Damiete Braide of Daily Sun, the actor said his own side of the story.

Hear Solomon Akiyesi in his own words below;

I’ve not only suffered verbal attacks, but also vituperations and near fisticuffs, all because of another futile attempt of mine at my journey towards achieving that which I honestly and passionately desire – a peaceful home and family. Social network sites and blogs have been awash with how I left Lilian, my “pregnant” wife, to marry Uloma, my Lagos “mistress” whom they also claimed was pregnant for me. Nothing can be farther from the truth.

Only a mad or cursed man would simply leave his pregnant wife and elope with another one. And lest I forget, I urge you, as you read this, to have an open mind to listen to that which is true instead of taking sides and jumping into wicked conclusions with its attendant wicked insults and uncouth commentaries about how Solomon is running his life and how he is not. I’m not asking for pity or trying to buy anybody’s love at this time.

This is my life. If at my age I don’t know what I want, then I may just remain the dumb ass that I’ve been called over and over again. I don’t think I need anyone to give me any lecturing on how I should exercise my privileges.

For the record, I never planned on marrying more than one wife. And unlike the serial husband I’ve been labelled, I had dreamt and planned a lovely home and family.

And my quest for this dates back to 2003 after I had moved into Port Harcourt. I soon settled down with Ezinne, my university days girlfriend, whom I ran into in Port Harcourt during her National Youth Service. As fate had it, we couldn’t help reliving old times and one thing led to another. One fateful, rainy Thursday evening in October, 2002, Ezinne came to inform me that she was pregnant.
It was as far as I was concerned, a devastating blow to the new life I was living; rap music, cars, money and women. So, I told her the pregnancy was unacceptable to me. Besides, I only just started working and needed stability. But months later, Ezinne was to inform me that she was carrying a baby girl.

And knowing my attachment to baby girls and not wanting to ever have a baby outside wedlock, I repented and changed my thuggish ways and asked her to marry me, more so that I was mature enough in every ramification. Or so I thought.

And so, sometime in April, 2003, I hired a hall and invited a pastor to come officiate at my marriage with Ezinne and bless our rings. All done, we went home and started as husband and wife. God, the creator, knew how glad I was and looked forward to a happy home. However, five days after that marriage, I called my new wife on my way from work to ask what was up for dinner and she told me she had been in the hospital.

I rushed to the hospital and was told by Ezinne that she lost the baby. I got her discharged and took her home. But I was completely broken at the loss of a baby I had expected so much. Four days later, I asked my wife if she actually saw the dead baby. She responded by saying the doctor brought it but she gave instruction for it to be buried because she could not behold the sight. Instinctively, I called the doctor – both to thank him and to confirm because he wasn’t around when I went to pick her home. After thanking the doctor, I asked of the sex of my dead baby.

The doctor didn’t talk for like six seconds. I asked him the same question again and he said he’s been restless in his spirit and that he could no longer keep the fact that there was no baby inside Ezinne and that nothing like miscarriage happened in his hospital. I challenged him again and asked if he was not the same person, who confirmed her pregnant and that Ezinne had been attending antenatal in his hospital.

He responded that he had not set his eyes on Ezinne since October of the previous year. Meanwhile, Ezinne had always taken money from me for antenatal and had even shopped for the baby! It then became clear to me that this was a fluke all together.

Sadly enough, Ezinne denied any wrongdoing. For three years, I exposed opportunities for Ezinne to simply tell me the truth but she never took advantage of any of the opportunities. Alas! She was not pregnant. I decided to investigate myself and took her for HSG where it was discovered that there were no fallopian tubes in her and that there was evidence of previous surgery of the uterus. I independently probed further and found out with evidence that Ezinne had a life-threatening abortion in 1992 that resulted in the rupture and subsequent removal of her womb and tubes.

My biggest pain was not what I found out but the fact that Ezinne hid all this from me all these years and was still being economical with the truth even when confronted with hard evidence! In frustration, I moved out of the house but not before taking her to her mum in search of the truth.

Even the mum corroborated what Ezinne gave as excuse for the scar that runs from her navel down to her pubic region, i.e. she was operated upon due to menstrual irregularities. I then decided to stay out for good. While I was out, my relationship with Lillian whom I had known years earlier grew.

I was always going to see her in Enugu. I then got me another apartment and Lillian came around quite often too. Gradually Lillian grew from that little girl I was merely helping in her schooling, into a mature, witty and intelligent young woman. So, having taken my people to Ezinne’s place for the dissolution of the marriage – since we did only traditional marriage – I proposed to Lillian.

And, in 2007, we proceeded to the registry for marriage. And that was the day her father started troubling me. He insisted Lillian was not supposed to go home with me. For two years, he cut communication with me. Shortly after the marriage, my businesses ran into a crises and my entire life nose-dived.

There was tremendous loss in my finances. In my travail, Lillian’s father went to the police and told them to deal seriously with me because I was an “irresponsible son-in-law”. When the challenges kept mounting and seeing my life was at risk after I was badly shot, I left town to sojourn elsewhere. In 2010, I gradually re-emerged and we started finding our footing again.

Even though I tried to settle down again, I found that the centre could no longer hold, as Lillian had metamorphosed into a nag and had acquired a fire tongue with which she talked me down and reigned curses on me at any little provocation. There was no week we didn’t have a major fight, whether I was home or not.

At some point, she became religious. And having found her way into Winners Chapel, she suggested to me one day that it was necessary we took our marriage to God since we hadn’t a proper wedding. She said her church pastors were willing to help in blessing our marriage so there could be a turnaround. To this, I obliged. She said she would love for us to wear wedding costumes for the purpose of photographs. To this I also consented. And so, to Winners Chapel we went and were blessed and certificated.

But it was as if that blessing was what someone was waiting for before they would blow the whistle that would usher me into the hall of pain. Lillian became insatiable.

You would see tiny ingredients of marriage only when I could ensure her comfort. Once Lillian’s comfort was compromised, she would lampoon me and tell me my life history in graphic details and lecture me on what Mr. A and B have done for their wives that I’m not able to do.
It’s even worse when I try to remind her of the recent past that I laboured tenaciously to keep her happy. Once she told me that there was nothing I had done in the past that anybody couldn’t have done. Imagine sacrificing all you’ve got, including almost your life, for someone who would tell you it’s no big deal and that any other person could have done what you did. And then, suddenly, she wanted me to quit my acting career or she would divorce me. My phones were always her best companions at night. If she was not reading my texts, she was in my facebook or BBM.

I had no peace. My best moment was whenever I had to leave home for work. And after work I never wanted to go back home. On a trip back home sometime ago, I was praying that my aircraft should crash and I die instead of going home. Even when I was driving home, I was under strong temptation to ram into oncoming vehicles instead of going home.

It was either that a long list of demand would be waiting for me or an equally longer list of questions about whom I had been online with and whom I had been calling and not calling.

Then on the side was a supposed father-in-law, who claimed he regretted the marriage because he wasn’t getting anything from it and that I only came to destroy the love that existed in their family before the marriage. So, my joy knew no bounds when Lillian told me last year that she was pregnant. For me, it was a good thing. Maybe the baby would take her attention away from me at last. Then the heat started again. I must provide N2 million for her to deliver her baby, even though she knows my income and its source. When her pressure got to a head and to avoid the same road I travelled with Ezinne, I took Lillian to a gynaecologist. A scan was run on her and the result was declared before the two of us that she was not pregnant.

This was after she told me that she had done an independent scan and that she was carrying triplets! Even with the medical confirmation, Lillian never stopped her push for N2 million and money for baby shopping. I ended up suffering a partial stroke in January. Yet she would wake me up at 2am to ask me of my plans to raise N2 million for her, even while I was bedridden with stroke.

I knew then that I was going to die in that marriage and had to do something about it. Ladies and gentlemen, this is about my life. If what greeted the Internet and press was that I died, trying to please Lillian and my marriage, people would still insult me and ask why I didn’t take a walk. And taking a walk I tried to do but I did not do it right.

I tried to skip due process to avoid hurting anyone. More so, I did not have the political and emotional will to ask for divorce. Pray, people, divorce is not like going to a grocery store where you go to pay your money and come back with a bag full. What would have been my ground for divorce? I should also confess that I could not find an answer to what would happen to Lillian if I asked her to go because I was more than a husband to her.

So, I foot-dragged to the point of taking the easy way out. And the easy way is not usually the best way as I found out on Saturday, April 13.

Uloma did not just jump into the picture to “snatch” Solomon from Lillian. Uloma has been my friend since 2006. We met again in 2009 at the peak of my business crisis and have been seeing each other afterwards. Candidly, I was swept away by the love, understanding and the peaceful disposition Uloma proffered even as a friend, far from the opposites I was getting back home. The way Uloma treated me was the exact desires any man longed for in a wife. So, I was always running to her whenever Lillian lit her fires.

So, I asked myself why I couldn’t marry her. Far from the evil rumour that I wanted to marry Uloma because of her money, I wanted to marry Uloma to fill a vacuum in her life and make her happy and fulfilled because this woman with a heart of gold who has impacted many lives deserved to be happy.
If that was what I could ever do to plant some comfort in her life. If there was going to be any immediate gain for me, it would have been peace of mind and its attendant long life, not her money or any physical or material gains. I’m not a lazy man.

Apart from being an actor, I have been in business for almost fifteen years. Years back, when I poured millions of naira on exotic cars and a posh house in Port Harcourt, Uloma was a seventy thousand naira recovery staff in Sterling Bank. Today, even if Uloma gave me all her salary from where she presently works, it won’t be enough to put Internet credit in my tablets and phones. Someone even posted that I said I would have ‘hammered’ if I had married Uloma.

What could I possibly gain? Uloma wasn’t frustrated to the point of desperation to pay a man to marry her. There was no award for anyone who married her. She does not own an estate or anything willed to her by anyone that I was running after. Uloma is not the daughter of any rich man or top politician. She’s as much a hustler as I am.
Ok, yes, sincerely, maybe I actually would have ‘hammered’ long life, happiness, inner joy, a sense of being loved and long life. I also would have ‘hammered’ having her sisters as my sisters because they love me like their own brother – a far cry from what my own people give me.
If I had married Uloma, I know I would have had a good burial whenever I died because I’ve always been scared that at my level of loneliness, whenever I die, my corpse would probably have decomposed before my people would find me. I beg to be loved and appreciated. Nobody to call my own.
No one ever cared about me. I have always been alone and hardworking too. From way back, my joys, my sorrows I have always swallowed alone. But Uloma was the only person who truly listened to my heart and understood where I was coming from. So to say any of my failed marriages was for money is simply stupid and unreasonable. The first car Ezinne ever drove and financing for her first attempt at business all came from me.

Lillian was not born with a silver spoon. Her father is only a retired naval officer and the last time I checked he had no wealth ascribed to his name. On her 18th birthday, I bought Lillian an exotic Corolla car. At 300 level in school, I gave her a Mercedes Benz.

Then she graduated with an LS400 Lexus. This is apart from a lush apartment and school bills that God used me to help her take care of. So, who amongst these would I have married for money? Uloma stood out because she’s shared my pain even when it was because of me and that explains why it was a difficult task telling her Lillian was still in my tracks.

I couldn’t have deliberately gone out of my way to hurt Uloma, because that will be simply committing suicide. Hurting Uloma is like waging war against a nation. Is it her legion of admirers I will have to contend with or her nation of die-hard lovers who will be tumbling over each other to get a pound of flesh?

I wouldn’t give hurt for the love and hope Uloma and her family gave me. Unfortunately the same scandals I thought I was preventing by not doing what everyone is saying I would have done is now the same thing staring me in the face, and everyone is worse hurt.

And above all, my own life is now seriously at risk because I feared hurting anyone. I ask all concerned to please sheathe their swords of anger and find it in their hearts to forgive me. I will make restitution as much as the mercy of God permits me. It’s never too late to begin again as far as God keeps us all alive.

I’m a man on a mission for a peaceful marriage, a good home and family life. I guess my desperation took good reasoning off me. Again, I am humbly and truly sorry. I thank my friends who have stood by me through this trial. Your comforting words are like lights on my dark path.

And for the judgmental few, I urge you; work with the truth while the Almighty fixes that which went wrong in my life.

SaharaReporters- Nigeria's First Lady, Patience Jonathan Is Ill Again

Nigeria's First lady's Patience Faka Jonathan, has deteriorated again, becoming so critical that she has been from a proposed official visit to Namibia and South Africa to be embarked upon by her husband, President Goodluck Jonathan according to online media, SaharaReporters.

Sources in Aso Rock said Mr. Jonathan will fly out for the four-day junket to the two Southern African countries on May 5, and return to Abuja on the 10th.

Medical sources stated that Mrs. Jonathan remained unwell after returning from Germany about three weeks ago. She had stated that her trip, which started on March 17 from Paris took her through Italy to Germany where she claimed she tendered to her foster mother, "Mama Sisi."

Since returning from that trip, the First Lady has remained under medical observation at the presidential villa.

Her latest trip to Germany is the third medical trip since her prolonged trip last year where she spent several months in a Wiesbaden hospital, although she denied those details upon her return.

In a thanksgiving service in February, she confessed her travails, including nine surgeries within one month, and declaring she had died but was saved by God.

The presidency has refused to disclose the exact nature of her ailment, but medical sources say she is suffering from a deadly ailment that may be manageable.

Cristiano Ronaldo cheats on his girlfriend with Miss Bum Bum Brazil

choi No wonder Cristiano Ronaldo didn't play well during Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund match on Wednesday April 24th (Real lost 4-1 to Dortmund)...he cheated on his girl friend two days before...

Andressa Urach (pictured above right) is claiming the star footballer, who is in a serious relationship with Russian super model, Irina Shayk, slept with her in a £12,500-a-night Villa Magna hotel on Monday April 22nd. Andressa is 2013 Miss Bum Bum Brazil queen. She told The Sun UK that Cristiano got in touch with her after seeing her photos online, and had sex with her just a day after Ronaldo was pictured leaving a restaurant with Irina (pictured left).

Andressa said she took a taxi to the hotel that Monday and waited for Ronaldo at the Lobby. Ronaldo eventually arrived in a grey Audi R3 and parked in an underground car park before taking a private lift to his room, from where he texted her his room number. The beauty queen said the sex was great.

"It was incredible, his body's perfect, like a Greek god. He went on for hours and would not stop talking about my butt.'
Cristiano's girlfriend, Irina, is known as one of the world's top swimwear and lingerie models.

Oritsejafor’s wife seeks more roles for women in politics

Ortsejafor’s wife, who is also the Chairman, Eagle Flight Micro Finance Bank, spoke during the Nigerian Association of Women Entrepreneurs’ 20th anniversary in Abuja.

Being one of the three awardees for women empowerment programme, Mrs Oritsejafor said that despite the enormous endowment of women, they had been denied for a long time the opportunity to contribute their own quota to the economic and political development of the country.

She added that there would not be a limit to the success of any country who gave women the opportunity to express themselves.

”We have equal right to make our impact in the upliftment and growth of this nation and if women are given opportunity I can tell you there is no place, there is no limit to the growth of what this country can become,”she said.

“I am one of the women who have the strongest belief in the 35 per cent affirmative programme for the Nigerian women. I think women in Nigeria, just as in the entire African continent, have been deprived the opportunity to contribute immensely to the growth of the nation.”

In her address, the President of the National Association of Women Entrepreneurs (NAWE), Chief Adaeze Ozongwu, advocated for women all over the country to come under one umbrella to develop the country.

She urged all women to come under a platform where they can speak with a louder and bigger voice, as a group for a better Nigeria.

Jonathan bans Amaechi’s plane from flying in Nigeria

The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency had on Friday temporarily grounded the Bombardier – BD700 Global Express aircraft in Akure, Ondo State, over the pilot’s alleged inability to provide the manifest of the plane.

However, the aviation industry regulator, Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, on Saturday, announced that the aircraft had been banned from flying in Nigeria.
The Director of Airworthiness and Standards, NCAA, Mr. Benedict Adeyileka, alleged that the aircraft had been flying illegally to several places, including Owerri in Imo State and Akure.
The statement read in part, “The controversial aircraft on the service of Governor Rotimi Amaechi is operating illegally in the country. The clearance approval of the Bombardier BD700 Global Express, with registration number N565RS, expired since April 2, 2013.
“By our records, the last flight clearance for this aircraft was approved for operations on March 28, 2013 on Accra/Port Harcourt and Accra to terminate on April 2, 2013. With this development, the aircraft has exceeded the extra two days or 48 hours leeway for it to leave the country.
“Consequently, this aircraft in reference is hereby grounded at any airport that is located right now in the country.
“The owner of this aircraft, according to the certificate of registration, is Bank of Utah Trustees of Salt Lake City Utah United States of America.”
Amaechi, in company with the Speaker, House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, was stranded for two hours at Akure Airport, as NAMA prevented his jet from flying on Friday.
Amaechi was departing Ado-Ekiti after attending the burial of Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Funmi Olayinka, when the incident occurred.
It was learnt that it took the intervention of Tambuwal before the aircraft was allowed to take off.
NAMA’s spokesperson, Mr. Supo Atobatele, who confirmed the development on Friday, had said the plane was not cleared to take off initially because the pilot failed to observe certain mandatory requirements.
Following the grounding of the plane, the Rivers State Government on Saturday, described the defence of the aviation authorities as a ‘big lie.’
The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. David Iyofor, said contrary to NAMA’s claims on Friday, the pilot of the plane had filed his flight plan and declared his manifest, but was told to see the controller.
The controller, according to Iyofor, told the pilot that the state government’s plane would not be allowed to leave the airport.
“It is indeed most shameful and ludicrous that NAMA and the aviation authorities are now saying that they grounded the Rivers State government’s plane because the pilot did not file a flight plan and declare a manifest.
“That’s a blatant lie. The pilot filed the flight plan and manifest, and paid all the statutory airport fees and charges shortly after the plane arrived at the Akure Airport in the afternoon.
“If the pilot filed a flight plan and manifest at the airports in Abuja and Owerri, where he flew from same day, why won’t he then do the same in Akure?
“It is instructive to note that all through the traumatic time we spent in Akure, no official of the airport or aviation staff came to tell Governor Amaechi that we were grounded because our pilot refused to file a flight plan and manifest.
“All they kept saying was that they were just obeying directives; it was beyond them and we should call Abuja. The Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal, and the other four members of the House of Representatives are living witnesses to that charade,” Iyofor said.
He asked NAMA to explain to Nigerians why an aircraft belonging to a state government and conveying a governor and other elected officials would be grounded at an airport for no just course.
When asked whether the grounding of the aircraft had anything to do with the rift between Amaechi and the Presidency, Iyofor declined comments.
He said the state government was still weighing the incident and would soon decide whether or not to petition the appropriate authorities on the matter.
“What we did is to tell Nigerians what happened. That is why we came out with a statement. I am not commenting on anything political.
“We have to digest what happened first before we can decide on whether it is necessary to write officially to relevant authorities on our experience in Akure,” Iyofor stressed.

1.2 Million UTME candidates won’t gain admission into varsities – FG

Addressing journalists at the Federal Government College, Suleja, Niger State, after monitoring the examination, Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqayyatu Rufai, blamed this on the low-carrying capacity of the tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

She said, “The major challenge is a country like Nigeria having 1.7 million sitting for examination. The space we have is 520,000 for federal, states, private universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.

“If one million passed, what are we going to do with the rest 500,000? We will not expand the carrying capacity without expanding the facilities.

“What are we going to do with the large number of students out there? I feel the pain. Mr. President is very much concerned. If you have students that have passed examination and they cannot have access, you can imagine their thought in the long run.”

Rufai called on private firms and individuals to invest in tertiary education.

Responding to a question on the high fees charged by private universities, she said the legal department was looking into the ministry’s right to challenge the fees.

Although she agreed that private investors had the right to recoup their money, the minister said government would consider legal options to regulate the situation.

The minister also denied knowledge of any White Paper recommending the scrapping of the UTME and the National Examination Council.

She said, “It has become a very controversial issue. I have made a statement before the National Assembly that the Federal Government has a white paper on this. I’m not aware that NECO and JAMB will be scrapped. If we are not aware, what are we going to make an analysis out of? Government has not taken decision on that.”

Rufai further blamed improper shading of answer sheets by candidates for non-release of their results.
“If they don’t shade their papers correctly, they may not have results,” she added.

Meanwhile, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has arrested a middle-aged man who was identified as Isaac, for alleged impersonation at one of the Dual Based Test centres in Abuja.

The JAMB Registrar/Chief Executive. Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, said the registration number on his slip and answer sheet did not tally.

“The owner of the slip is from Enugu. He came here to impersonate another person. He had been handed over to civil defence who will hand him over to the police,” he said.

Meanwhile, no fewer than nine candidates were feared dead, while six were injured in an auto crash on the Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway on Friday.

The victims were said to be on their way to their examinations centre.

Police Public Relations Officer, Abia State Command, Mr. Geoffrey Ogbonna, confirmed the incident in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Aba.

He said seven persons including the driver died instantly, while two others died later in hospital.
Ogbonna said the candidates were travelling on a Hiace bus with number plate Rivers XY 249.

He explained that the driver, around 10.40am rammed into a truck with number plate Lagos XC 109 SLK, which was parked off the road at Obeaku-Ihie, Ugwunagbor Local Government Area of Abia State.

Auto Accident: Okorocha leaves UK for Israel for Second Round Of Treatment

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has left London where he was receiving medical treatment for Israel, SUNDAY PUNCH learnt on Saturday.

Okorocha had left Nigeria on April 20, 2013, after he sustained a head injury in a car accident.
When our correspondent made an enquiry from one of his aides on Friday it was learnt that Okorocha had left London for Israel.

Okorocha’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Ebere Uzoukwa, confirmed that the governor had left London. “He has left London and he is doing very well. He is currently in Israel,” he said.
Another top government official, who pleaded anonymity told SUNDAY PUNCH that the governor was in Israel for a second round of examination.

Uzoukwa, however, denied that the governor moved to Israel on health grounds.

“He only went to Israel to attend to certain matters and will be back soon,” he said.

Okorocha was involved in a car crash on Orlu-Owerri Road in the state on April 19.
The accident occurred when a Mercedes Benz 200 ran into the governor’s convoy and had a collision with his own car.

Okorocha was on an inspection tour of projects in Orlu area when the crash occurred.
“The accident led to a minor cut on the governor’s scalp,” Uzoukwa had said.

He said Okorocha’s head was bandaged, but noted that he was stable and strong.

Okorocha had said he would seek further medical attention due to the level of impact of the accident on him.

“Although the accident left me with a cut and some minor injuries, I am fine. I will, however, seek further medical attention because of the degree of impact made by the crash,” the governor was quoted as saying after the crash.

UTME 2013: NSCDC official arrested for allegedly sending answers to candidates in the exam hall

There was a mild drama in one of the three centres  (Faculty of Arts with centre No 36102) within the Lagos State University, Ojo. An official of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, one of the paramilitary bodies deployed by JAMB to provide security for the examination, was caught while trying to send some answers to some supposed candidates in the examination halls through two cell phones.

A microchip with solutions to Mathematics (Type A), was also found on him. The NSCD officer who identified himself as Kazeem Adewale was caught by the men of the LASU security guards.

Adewale initially denied, claiming the phones and microchips were given to him by his boss another female office whom she simply identified as Adesanu. But Adesanu denied the claim outright saying she neither gave the phones, nor the microchips to Adewale.

The suspect was later handed over to the police deployed from Ojo for the exam.
The other two centres were- Faculty of Law with Centre No 36109 and Faculty of Management Sciences with Centre No 36010.
The coordinator of the three centres Prof Sena Bakre who spoke to this reporter, urged JAMB authorities to beam their searchlight more on NSCD officials, fingering them as one of the abettors of examination rackets which are often recorded during JAMB.
A Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) Bakre said she suspected Adewale’s atrocities probably had the backing of his other colleagues especially his superiors at the centres, adding that since he had been arrested, they became suspiciously more nervous.

“For me, I no longer find this civil defence people dependable again. They are usually the ones that help many of these students get examinations answers either via cell phones or any other means. I think the authority should do something about this. This people have outlived their usefulness,” she said.

kaffy talks " My Mum Encouraged Me To Go Into Prostitution"

Hate her or love her, Kaffy, the dance queen is not moved, neither is she going to deny it that, she was once encouraged into prostitution by her mother. When they say wonders shall never end, some people may not readily understand until they hear some life testimonies that leave the mouth agape, such is the candid disclosure of popular dancer and musician Kafayat popularly known as Kaffy.

She dropped the bombshell about how her mother nearly made her go into prostitution so as to make ends meet. The talented dancer revealed this while she was addressing a group of youths at a programme held not too long ago.

She divulged this while encouraging the young minds at the event to learn how to read between the lines so that they won’t be guided because sometimes, the people that they look up to may be the one that will lead them astray.

The talented mother of two, also disclosed that she had to pay her way through school as she did not attend the conventional school that every other child attends because she had to wait for the regular school goers to close from school so that she could borrow their books and cover up but luck smiled on her when she made a record for herself and country at Amstel Malta World Marathon Dance, by breaking the existing record for the Guinness Book of World Records through dance. And ever since, she has not relented on her oars.

To most Christians, the offering time is, indeed, a time of immense financial blessing. But recently, the offering time turned into a moment of hot curses in a Lagos church when an already used condom, dripping with semen, was discovered inside the offering box after the Sunday service.

It was like a weird dream, according to the former Chairman, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Ogba Zone, Prophet Tobi Okonkwo, who witnessed the incident. The cleric said he couldn’t believe his eyes when a discarded condom, with stains, was discovered in an envelope in the offertory box of his former church.

When Pope Paul VI warned on June 29, 1972 that the smoke of Satan had entered the church, not many Christians took the warning seriously.

With this recent incident, Okonkwo admitted that the agents of darkness had infiltrated the churches in large numbers and now occupy high-ranking positions in the gathering of God’s children, where they wreak untold havoc on the unwary flock.

Okonkwo, who is also the General Overseer of Living Word Prayer Assembly, Agege, Lagos, wept over man’s ingratitude to God during a recent monthly thanksgiving programme of the church, tagged Manna from Heaven.

Although the service was a joyful moment where the shepherd distributes food items and other gifts to his flock, his startling revelation brought a hush of silence on the congregation.

His words pierced the hearts of the worshippers, as he explained how man had become ungrateful to divine benevolence. His several instances of the atrocities committed in hallowed places pointed to the fact that messengers from hell now walked about freely in hallowed places. “It is really bad.

It has got to a point where some people come to the church to mock God. They are anti-Christ but they still go to church. You could imagine how somebody came to the church and decided to give a used condom in an envelope to God.

You can see how wicked man has become,” he said. Okonkwo said the giver of the abominable gift refused to confess his crime, even when the entire church rained curses profusely on whosoever was responsible.

He said, “A curse was laid on the person. Even before the people laid the curse, God had already seen the abomination committed in his house by someone, who pretended he came to the church to worship God.”

The former PFN leader warned other members of the church of the reality of the anti-Christ, whose reign would usher ungodliness in the world. He lamented that prosperity message has taken over the pulpit at the neglect of the gospel of repentance, which had enslaved many hearts in pleasure and love of the world.

According to him, most Christians hunger for sermons that promise easy wealth, while rejecting teachings that encourage chastity, discipline, endurance and faithfulness.

“The style of the anti-Christ is to mock Jesus. Many Christians today are crucifying Christ a second time. It’s really sad and unfortunate,” he said. The cleric decried the approval of same sex marriage by different countries, describing the constitutional recognition accorded to such couples as an indication of the reign of anti-Christ in the world.

Rather than milk his members dry, Okonkwo said he introduced a programme, Manna from Heaven, to feed the flock of Christ with the little he could afford. He said the programme involved sharing of bags of rice, noodles and other foodstuff on equal measures to all the members to inculcate in them the love for sharing and concern for their suffering neighbour.

Okonkwo also berated some pastors who, according to him, start Christian ministries and involve themselves in dubious things all in a bid to acquire wealth and fame. He said such ones worship money as their god. “For them to get money, they end up preaching prosperity.

Salvation messages are not often on their lips. The church is not supposed to be a business but most people have turned it into a business.

It is quite unfortunate,” he said. Aside the sacrileges committed in churches, Okonkwo, who had earlier predicted the emergence of Jonathan as President during the ailing days of late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, also frowned at the various scandals rocking political offices and other sectors of the economy.

He said most Nigerians have lost the sense of sanity, citing the many cases of corruption in the country. According to him, no day passes without the disclosure of one fresh set of financial scandal or the other.

He lamented that the financial blood of the country was being drained by some thieving elite with no interest of the masses at heart. Although Okonkwo foreclosed the chances of possible disintegration of the country, he warned corrupt leaders to repent or face the wrath of heaven.

According to him, only selfless leaders would bring the nation back from the brink of monumental crisis and repair the ruins caused by corruption and bad leadership in the country.

JAMB Registrar Escapes Assassination Few Days To UTME

the incident happened on Monday night when the intruders scaled through the fence of the house, entered through the back door and gained entrance into the house while the security men attached to the compound did not notice as they were stationed at the gate of the house.
The security personnel which include two regular armed police men and other private security guards at the gate did not take notice of the incident throughout the period the operations lasted.

Confirming the incident, the Registrar said according to the story narrated to him by the children and relations who are staying with him, they were terrorized during the operation as the assassins were continuously asking and looking for their father, the Registrar. The children told the assassins that he has travelled for official assignments but the men were not convinced.

“They instructed one of the children to lead them into the Registrar’s living and study rooms which they searched thoroughly but could not find Prof. Dibu as he went on official assignments”

At that point, the assassins decided to look for him through the ceiling of the house moving from one ceiling to the other as they locked up the occupants in one of the living rooms thinking the Registrar was hiding up in the ceiling.

They searched and scattered every hiding places the assassins suspected the Registrar may be hiding. It was after their target could not be found that they left the house.

According to Prof. Dibu, “nothing was taken out of the expansive residence despite the thorough searching conducted on the compound”

The Registrar confirmed he travelled officially in preparation for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination slated for today, Saturday, April 27, 2013.

The incident is happening just a few days to the conduct of the Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination, UTME, which is slated for today, Saturday.

Amnesty to Boko Haram: Lawyer asks court to stop Jonathan

Barely 24-hours after President Goodluck Jonathan inaugurated the Committee on Dialogue and Peaceful Resolution of Security Challenges in the North, an Abuja based legal practitioner, Mr. Silas Onu, Thursday, approached the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, asking it to abort plans by the Federal Government to grant amnesty to the Boko Haram Islamic sect.

Besides, Onu, who maintained that granting amnesty to the sect would entrench a very dangerous precedent in the national polity, also prayed the court to issue a consequential order halting the continuation of amnesty programme across the country.

He urged the high court to go ahead and halt further payments to ex-militants in the oil rich Niger Delta region were President Jonathan hails from.

It will be recalled that the federal government had in June 2009 approved an offer of unconditional amnesty for members of the Niger Delta militants.

The government, on Wednesday, inaugurated a 27-man committee with a mandate to fashion out modalities with a view to getting insurgent groups in the Northern part of the country to embrace amnesty.

UNILAG Medical Student Drowns at Elegushi Beach

A 200-level student of the Department of Dentistry, School of Medicine, University of Lagos, Unilag, Idi-Araba, Eniola Abiola has drowned.

The incident occurred at the Elegushi Beach, Ikate, in Eti-Osa Local Government Area, of Lagos, where the deceased was attending a friend’s birthday party.

Abiola was reported to have got to the party at 8:15 p.m. and later joined her friends a few meteres away from the shoreline to take photographs.

An eyewitness told P.M.NEWS that while they were posing for a snapshot, a heavy wave suddenly arose and rolled fiercely to the shore.

“The wave came the first time, but receded. It came a second time, and floored her. As she tried to escape like others, a third one came and swept her away,” she said.

However, rescue effort was impossible at the time, as the life guards at the beach were said to have closed at about 5 p.m. on the fateful day.

When P.M.NEWS visited Abiola’s school this morning, few of her classmates were seen discussing the incident.

Her class representative, simply identified as Seun, said her classmates were still in shock and that they would miss her.

The President, Unilag Students Union, Wale Peters, said: “The death was unfortunate, because the deceased was an easy-going, brilliant and lively girl.”

Effort to get the university to officially comment on the matter was abortive. But an official, who pleaded not to be named because he was not authorised to speak, said the university cannot bear responsibility for Abiola’s death since it occurred outside the school environment.
The deceased father, Dr. Eniola, an eye doctor and university staff was not available for comment at the time of this report

Nigerian teenager, Opemipo Jaji found guilty of rape, facing life imprisonment

Nigerian teenager who attacked and raped an 11 year old schoolgirl in November 2012 has been found guilty of rape and facing life imprisonment in the UK. 18 year old Opemipo Jaji was under a supervision order for having child porn and had just left an appointment with the Probation Service when he followed the victim as she took a bus home from school, according to the UK Daily Mail.

Opemipo took the girl to Jubilee Park in Enfield where he repeatedly raped her for three hours. The court heard today that the Nigerian Paedophile stuffed a school tie and gloves into her mouth to stop her screaming. But Opemibo denied being the attacker, telling police he had seen the girl on the bus but nothing had happened. "I am just not capable of doing something as despicable and heartless as this," he told the court.

Well, nobody believed him. Not only was the victim's blood found on his clothes, CCTV footage also captured him in the same bus with the girl, plus he fitted the girl's description of her attacker and he admitted he was at the park that evening but only to compose music. He was found guilty and will be sentenced in two weeks time.

NFL star Kerry Rhodes' former assistant 'outs' him as a gay man

A few days ago, MediaTakeOut posted some incriminating photos of NFL star Kerry Rhodes on vacation with his former assistant, Russell Simpson, and implied that Kerry's assistant was his gay partner. Kerry called into TMZ shortly after the photos leaked and denied he was gay. He told TMZ:

Photos have been circulating of my former assistant and I that have caused some rumors regarding my sexuality, and I want to address the situation. I am not gay. I know a lot of people are recently talking about athletes struggling to come out to their fans right now, and I support them, as well as wish those individuals comfort."

It was rumored last week that four players in the NFL are considering coming out as gay in a group sometime soon, but Kerry said he's not one of them. A few days after the interview with TMZ, Kerry's former assistant, Russell has hit him hard.
